Stained Glass As Art

Another beautiful way to decorate your home is with the use of stained glass is as a piece of artwork. This can often be a hanging framed piece or even a free standing panel. The advantage of this type of approach is flexibility in case the owner moves home as the stained glass art can be moved as well.

Almost any style can be created as a piece of art and clients are roughly split 50/50 between those who like to use colored glass and those who prefer the clear beveled designs without color.

The approach to use of color in our artistic stained glass designs is somewhat different from other artists. We don’t allow the colors to overwhelm the panels and in some cases will combine floral designs for example with cut glass beveled pieces and use a simple background colors such as a light bronze or gray to bring out the darker colors in the flowers and allow the bevels to stand out prominently, even in strong sunshine.
