The recent events that transpired in Houston were, to say the least, tragic. At Scottish Stained Glass, our hearts go out to those in Houston that were affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey. That’s why we’re doing our part in our own very small way to help Houston’s home owners, churches, and historic buildings whose stained glass windows were damaged.
While we understand that there are more pressing matters at hand and that stained glass will be one of the last steps, we are committed to providing our services, at cost, to any structures not covered by insurance. While damage to a home can be severely distressing, the ruin of valued items and treasures, such as antique or heirloom stained glass, can be difficult to experience as well. Many vintage stained glass windows have been passed down through generations and for many families are a reminder of fond memories and happy times spent.
That’s why we’re here to help. If you have stained glass that was damaged and is not covered by your home insurance, we can help with its repair and restoration. We will do our best to preserve as much of the damaged glass as possible in order to maintain the historic and sentimental value of your stained glass.
