The Family Crest Stained Glass for the Chateau V Castle in Evergreen, Colorado

If you’ve ever driven through Evergreen, Colorado then you may been familiar with Chateau V, the massive castle sitting on top of a mountain hill near the community. But did you also know that it’s recently gone on the market? For 17.5 million you could live exactly like a king in this 20,000 square foot five bedroom home.

There’s a good reason the Chateau V is the most expensive home to sell in the Evergreen community. It’s practically magical. The castle is equipped with 126 custom made chandeliers, a breakfast turret, and a dog shower. The roof of the home has an iron railing that makes it a beautiful sprawling deck from which the homeowners can enjoy the surrounding mountain views.

In addition to these many custom features, the castle also features stained glass windows made by our artists at Scottish. Five family crests proudly sit in the windows of the spiral staircases of the castle, adding to its look of old world elegance and charm.

A few years ago, homeowners Randall and Cynthia Veselka asked us to create their stained glass windows. They wanted a series of family crest designs for each of their five children and family members. We worked closely with them to create these pieces of art that were so incredibly important to their home and family. After the windows were completed, they were installed in the spiral staircases of the castle.

When we saw the article in the Wall Street Journal that announced that the home was up for sale, we felt incredibly honored to have our art referenced. We thoroughly enjoyed worked with the Veselkas on their project and are happy to have created some of the art in their beautiful multi million dollar home.
